Haramara is "one of the 10 best yoga retreats in the world!" (Yoga Journal)

Native and untouched tropical vegetation surrounds and embraces each one of the 16 private palapa cabanas (palm thatched cabins) and an 8 bed "dormitory". Each charming and cozy cabana has been carefully designed to subtly merge the internal and external environments while meeting strict ecological standards with as little disturbance to the flora and fauna as possible. Stunning ocean and/or jungle views abound from every cabana. Cabanas are spread over the 12 acres of the property making each one absolutely secluded and private. Enjoy the rustic luxury of any one of the personally designed cabanas, which feature comfortable beds with hand woven sheets, oil lamps ,and candles for softly lit evenings, and original and uniquely designed individual bathrooms. All cabanas have private hammocks for lazy afternoon siestas (naps).
Bathrooms are elegant and private with every detail attended to - even fresh flowers. Getting to and from places at Haramara is a delight - every foot of jungle path and the private beach is hand raked each morning. It is all part of the magic.

| All meals are tastefully prepared and beautifully served with fresh ingredients and artistic presentations. The wait staff is friendly, well trained and attentive to your every need. At Haramara Retreat we know that good nutrition and well balanced meals are an integral part of your yoga and meditation practice leading to a complete mind-body learning experience and overall health and well-being. All meals are vegetarian based, but also include fish and seafood. All ingredients are fresh, natural and local. The daily menus are carefully chosen by Chef Hugo and are based on the ingredients that are available that day. Enjoy Chef Hugo Roberto Gutiérrez Marrón's magical Mexican cuisine, the most romantic and breathtaking views of the sunset over the jungle canopy and elegance found only at Haramara "where Robinson Crusoe meets Architectural Digest!" Special dietary needs and requests will gladly be accommodated. Wine selection, domestic and beer and margaritas with excellent tequila are, of course, available. |
