What is a yoga private? Private yoga instruction is one on one time with an instructor. The yoga instruction is tailored to the individual needs of the student. Expect concentrated focus on what's holding you back in your practice and in life. Each private is unique. Some time will be spent in discussion, some isolating structural issues, some working on pranayama (breathing). The lessons are especially helpful when first starting yoga or if students have special requirements and feel more at ease in a private teaching surrounding. Private tuition is also welcomed by students who cannot attend regular group lessons due to an ever changing schedule, or because they feel the need to receive the utmost attention during their yoga education. Students with a well developed practice can use the sessions to explore more advanced postures. Students are always encouraged to come prepared with a list of questions or goals. One on one instruction (teacher to student) is a traditional method that has been used effectively for centuries.
Do I need to have an established practice? No. We enjoy working with new students. Privates are a superior way to get acquainted with onlYoga and our teaching methodology. Students new to yoga should expect to spend part of the private in discussion.
When are yoga privates scheduled? Privates are scheduled throughout the day during the week and on weekends. Privates are not scheduled during class times with the exception of In-Class Privates. For more information, please email the studio.
How much do yoga privates cost? 40min $80, 60min $120, 90min $175. Packages of 4 or more privates can also be purchased at a discounted rate.
Can I split the cost with a few friends? Yes. Small classes of no more than 5 students can be scheduled. These small classes run for 90 minutes and cost $200.00.
onlYoga Policies For Privates & Small Group Sessions: Standard pricing for privates and small group sessions can be found on the onlYoga website or posted in the studio. Standard fees for 40, 60 and 90 minute sessions are $80, $120 & $175 respectively.
Please note that the above policies are not meant to be punitive! Whenever possible we will do our best to be flexible and work with you on scheduling sessions. Please, don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions or concerns.

- Once purchased, sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated. Use or inclusion of privates by friends or family members is at the sole discretion of onlYoga.
- Discounts are offered and applied to packages at the sole discretion of onlYoga and can change without notice.
- ALL sessions must be paid in advance unless arrangements have been made and agreed upon in advance of the session.
- Cancellations should be made with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Cancellations without 24 hours notice will be billed at $50 or 50% of the cost of the private, whichever is greater. Cancellation fees will be waived solely at the discretion of onlYoga on a per incident basis.
- If you are going to be late please phone the studio at 404.537.2189 or text/phone John Merideth at 404.918.0052.
- Arriving late does not mean that a commensurate period of time will be added onto the end of the private.
- Students arriving early for their session should enter the studio quietly in the event that another session is in progress.
- Commitment is very important to us and we make every effort to prevent sessions from interfering with one another. However, from time to time, the end of one session may run into the start of another. If this happens please wait patiently in the hall and we will be with you as soon as possible. Obviously, if we start your session late we will extend the session a commensurate period of time.
