Despite the
number of y'alls that roll off her tongue and the
copious amount of sweet tea she consumes, Jessica is a
Midwesterner at heart. Her first experience with
yoga was during her freshman year of college at the
University of Michigan. Although Jessica enjoyed yoga,
she didn’t come across a studio that felt like home.
She hoped around trying different yoga studios in
Michigan & Ohio but was one of those once every
other week kind of students, if that.
In 2005 Jessica moved to Atlanta. She stumbled upon onlYoga soon after arriving in the city and considers herself very fortunate. Something clicked this time that made yoga an integral part of her everyday life; the strength & grace of the Ashtanga practice, the grounding it creates for an on-the-go/all over the place personality, the cozy community that onlYoga harvests – the list goes on and continues to grow as her practice deepens. In 2006 Jessica decide she wanted to take her experience of her practice to a deep level. She applied for and was accepted into the onlYoga teacher training in the fall and began teaching in the studio shortly thereafter.
