Cancelled - Saturday 4pm - 5:30pm
We have decided to drop the Saturday afternoon class for the time being.
The Spring schedule will be released in the next 10 days. Please let us know if you have any special requests for class times, styles, etc. With the advent of Spring, our evenning classes will shift back to 5pm, 6:15pm and 7:45pm.
Leigh is officially on maternity leave. While she is away (hopefully not too long) Michael, Jessica and yours truly will pick up her classes. Please bear with us as we make this shift and offer Leigh time to birth baby Mallis. We will all miss her while she is away and look forward to her post birthing return...
As always, we thank you for your continued support of onlYoga!
Warmly,
John Merideth
| Schedule Change |
The Ashtanga Foundation Series has ended and we have started another Sunday afternoon class from 4 - 5:30pm. It is an intermediate primary series class taught by John Merideth.
As many of you know Leigh is getting closer and closer to the birth of baby Mallis. She is due April 07, 2007. She is doing very well and continues to teach great classes at the studio! However, she will be on maternity leave in the not too distant future...so you should definitely stop in and see her for a class soon. Also, Leigh recently returned from a pregnancy yoga training in LA and is now ready to offer pre and post natal pregnancy yoga privates...so hurry up and get pregnant!
Finally, day light savings will happen earlier this year (the second sunday in March). So remember to set your clocks an hour ahead and stay on the look out for a great Spring class line up from onlYoga beginning in April.
Namaste,
John
Schedule Update (effective 10/25/06)
Monday
6:15 - 7:45pm - Primary Series Level 1 - Instructor:
John Merideth
Description: The Primary Series is the foundation of
Ashtanga Yoga. This intermediate level class will
cover the entire primary series and is designed for
students with a desire to explore some of the more
challenging standing and seated postures as well as
backbends, headstands, etc. Students should be
familiar with the Ashtanga sun salutations and
standing postures. By practicing the Ashtanga Yoga
primary series in the traditional way, using the
rhythm of the breath and the continuous flowing
movements of vinyasa between poses, we integrate the
body, mind and spirit into a full and complete
experience. (intermediate) Prerequisite: 5-10 or more
intro level classes.
Wednesday 6:15 - 7:45pm - Vinyasa Flow- Instructor: John Merideth

onlYoga is excited to offer a new yoga class for
children. onlYogaKids is an age appropriate
yoga class recommended for children between the ages
of 4-8. In onlYogaKids classes, children have
an opportunity to explore the world inside
their skin. The resulting awareness of body and
breath can enhance balance, strength, coordination,
focus, flexibility and encourages stress
release. The Self control experienced in class
carries over into self-confidence in daily
life. onlYogaKids classes introduce classical
yoga postures modified as appropriate for the
abilities and needs of children.
First Class: October 7th, 2006
Day: Saturdays
Time: 4-5pm
Instructor: Diane Holbeld

About Diane
Diane Holbel’s teacher training was with Jonny
Kest at his Center for Yoga near Detroit. She
has been a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga
Alliance, a national registry of teachers who have
met specific training standards, since 2003.
Approaching Teacher Training, she was concerned that
being a retiree might affect her effectiveness.
She was counseled “many people are comforted
and inspired by an older teacher,” which she
was pleased to find was true.
Diane brings several yoga styles to her
teaching. A class may focus on relaxation,
range of motion, or building strength and stamina,
but its goal is always self awareness and self
acceptance.

She
was introduced to yoga asanas through Lilias
Folen’s 1960’s TV classes.
Intervening years included many types of body work
including teaching Belly Dancing. After being
introduced to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in 1999, it has
been her favorite personal practice because “it
works”. Diane retired after 25
years as commercial real estate broker and property
manager for international investors. She moved from
Michigan to Atlanta to join her sons and other family
members. The entire family values yoga and its
full range of mind-body-spirit
benefits.
